Keep your crane in working order

Cranes and other lifting equipment can greatly increase productivity for your business, however if they are not well maintained, things can go wrong. This can cause down time in your production which could be costly. Regular maintenance and servicing can greatly reduce this possibility, however sometimes things do break down. When this occurs, we are there for you, with our range of crane and mobile gantry services, and aim to get you back up and running in the fastest time possible. Lifting Gantry Installations

We have our own team of experienced crane engineers who can install your cranes in their designated location. We can also fit any additional lifting equipment requested. Once fully installed the crane will be fully load tested to ensure optimum safety and full certification including EC declarations of conformity are provided for your records. Additional equipment will also be tested to ensure all is working correctly.

Lifting Gantry Repairs & Servicing

Our team of crane service engineers are able to visit your site to carry out regular servicing and repairs. This may be to your existing cranes or other lifting equipment; we can also offer advice on regular maintenance tasks to keep your cranes in tip top working condition. Repairs on cranes will be carried out on site as will some other lifting equipment; sometimes it may be necessary to bring the equipment back to our factory if repairs cannot be carried out in situ, but will be returned to you as quickly as possible in good working order.

Gantry Crane Inspections

It is mandatory for you to have all lifting equipment thoroughly inspected by a competent person at regular intervals to ensure that it is safe to use. It is imperative that all types of cranes and any other equipment used for lifting purposes are inspected at maximum 12 monthly intervals. Further inspections are sometimes required if, for example you notice a problem with your crane or equipment which could affect its safety when in use; if a lift fails for any reason or else perhaps if a shock load occurs.
When our engineers have carried out the thorough inspection in accordance with LOLER regulations, a report will be issued to state any issues which will need to be rectified. If no issues are found and/or when any issues have been taken care of a new certificate will be issued to clarify that your equipment is safe to use. These documents must be kept on file for health and safety purposes.
Cranes direct can carry out inspections at your convenience, we can usually carry out any repairs deemed necessary and issue all necessary documentation for your records. Our inspection engineers are qualified and have completed training courses in association with the LEEA, so you can be assured of quality service.
